Limudei kodesh are not usually taught "for the test", although there are tests. Oral tests would make sense, except it's not time efficient to test thirty + students orally.

Kids don't always go to a day camp affiliated with their own or any school. Learning from a different curriculum wouldn't help them catch up. Preschools are generally pretty similar in the summer to "regular school," so preschoolers are not going to fall behind.

School is not camp. If you take away summer vacation for school, the kids will not be motivated and there won't be much learning happening. The ones who want to learn mostly did well on zoom/phone lessons.

What about opening soda cans? I personally don't, but I know some people do. Since it's always thrown out after one use, is it better or worse?
